President's Message

Thanks for visiting our page!  

The Treasure Coast Chapter is working hard to continue offering CLE's free to Members and $5 for Non-Members as we continue to battle all of the hurdles with COVID and the current conditions in our area. 

 

SAVE THE DATE for the following events:

September 16, 2021 - Marcela Gyires, Esquire on Immigration Law 101

October 2021 - Zoom CLE - Speaker/topic TBD

December 2021 we plan to hold our Members Only Holiday Party IN-PERSON!  Details to come. 

YOU WILL NEED TO RESERVE A SPOT TO ATTEND THESE!  We will send out the information with exact dates and how to reserve your spot.  Please watch for details. 
 

Elections:
Our elections will take place electronically this year, with online voting open from September 23, 2021 through September 30, 2021.  We strongly urge you to cast your vote!  A separate email will go out with the instructions and link for the online voting.  The new officers will be installed in January 2022. 

The proposed slate of officers is as follows:

Office of Vice President                     Kathryn B. Connor, FRP
Office of Second VP                           Christina Guarino, FRP
Office of Secretary                             Shanon Matheny, ACP, FCP
Office of Treasurer                             Jodee Buck, ACP, FCP, FRP

If you are an active member and are interested in being elected for office, please contact Dorothy O’Guin at DOguin@gunster.com with the Nominations Committee no later than August 31, 2021 in order to be considered and added to the Ballot for online voting in September.  



We have the following positions open for 2022:


Community Service:

This Committee Chair shall help locate a charity or organization for us to make donations to each month (i.e. school supplies, food, pet supplies, etc.).  They will communicate directly with said charity/organization, facilitate and arrange to deliver/pick-up donated items and keep the Board updated.


Website/Public Relations Chair: 

This Committee Chair shall coordinate the communications of our Chapter to the membership and to the general public through our website and on our Chapter Facebook page. They will keep events and all other information updated on a monthly basis or as provided by a Board member. Additionally, they shall have the duty of editing, approving and handling all material for publication pertaining to our Chapter, including all media presentation. 


If you're interested in volunteering or need additional information, please contact me and I will be more than happy to assist you. We are always looking for motivated and energetic members to volunteer for our Board, Committees and events.
