Chapter President’s Message
President's MessageHey PAF Members & Non-Members!
**PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL EVENTS & MEETINGS ARE CANCELLED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE DUE TO COVID-19. PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON FOR UPDATES. WE WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED HERE ON OUR WEBSITE AND ALSO THROUGH EMAIL. STAY WELL EVERYONE!**
September 3, 2020 update: At this time, we still do not have any meetings scheduled in person. PAF has been providing members with FREE monthly virtual CLEs. I hope everyone is taking advantage of them! Our Chapter is also looking into live Zoom lunch meetings to offer our members CLEs beginning in October. We are still working out the details at this time.
Our annual elections for the 2021 Board will take place September 14th through the 18th through online voting. Please be sure to cast your vote! Every single vote from our membership is important to us. The new officers will be sworn in at our meeting in January 2021.
We will be holding our annual Membership Drive from October 16, 2020 through November 16, 2020. This means that any NON-MEMBERS who would like to join during this 30-day period, will not have to pay the $15 application fee. (Normally $90 to join and $15 application fee = $105.00). You will only pay the $90 to join and then $90 each year to renew. Now is this time to join our Chapter!!
We still have the following positions open for 2021:
Stuart Lunch Chair:
This Committee Chair shall help discuss & decide on topics and speakers for our Stuart lunches. They will have a direct line of communication with speakers. They will communicate with the restaurant to reserve the room and communicate lunch orders. They will accept all lunch reservation forms, keep a detailed spreadsheet and checklist for ease with check-in on the day of the lunches. They will meet at the restaurant location (currently set up at Berry Fresh Cafe), help with clean-up after the lunch as needed, collect money and provide payment to the restaurant. They will then be required to get all monies collected to the Treasurer and provide feedback on the evaluations from the lunch.
Website/Public Relations Chair:
This Committee Chair shall coordinate the communications of our Chapter to the membership and to the general public through our website and on our Chapter Facebook page. They will keep events and all other information updated on a monthly basis or as provided by a Board member. Additionally, they shall have the duty of editing, approving and handling all material for publication pertaining to our Chapter, including all media presentation.
If you're interested in volunteering or need additional information, please contact me and I will be more than happy to assist you. We are always looking for motivated and energetic members to volunteer for our Board, Committees and events.
As always, I'd like to welcome all of our newest members and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you at an upcoming event!
